UPDATE 1-Falling coal, commodities hurt Norfolk Southern profit
CHICAGO, Jan 27 (Reuters) - No. 4 U.S. railroad Norfolk Southern Corp on Wednesday reported a lower quarterly net profit, as coal freight volumes and other commodities extended their slump and announced a cost-cutting plan to boost profitability.
